Your preaching record is personal. This policy explains how data is handled in Happy Minister, on this website and when you contact support.
1. Who is responsible
Joaquín García is responsible for this website and Happy Minister support. For privacy questions or requests about your rights, email hola@juakigarcia.com.
2. Information you keep in the app
The app stores information you enter: time records and dates, notes, plans, goals, your name if provided, selected photographs, preferences and activity history. This is stored on your device. Happy Minister does not require its own account and does not send these records to a developer-operated server.
Avoid including sensitive information about other people. Preaching records or notes may reveal religious beliefs: you decide what to enter and who to share it with.
3. iCloud synchronization
Sync is enabled by default on new installations and can be disabled in Settings. When enabled and supported by your Apple Account, app data is stored and synced through your private iCloud database using CloudKit. Apple provides this service under its own terms and security practices. See Apple’s privacy policy.
Disabling sync keeps local records and pauses further exchanges with iCloud. It does not delete data already in the cloud. iCloud sync and device backups are separate features; Apple settings control device backups.
4. Photos, widgets and PDF reports
The system photo picker lets you select images to include; the app does not scan your entire photo library. Selected images are stored with app data and may sync when iCloud is enabled.
Widgets receive the totals and preferences needed to show progress on your device. PDF reports are created when requested. You choose whether to save or share them, and with whom. They are not automatically sent to the developer.
5. Metrics to improve the app
The new version of Happy Minister automatically sends anonymous usage and diagnostic metrics from its first launch, without an acceptance screen. Uploads are enabled by default and can be disabled in Settings under “App metrics”. This setting applies only to the device where you change it. Previously saved choices to disable uploads are respected.
The app sends counts of openings and sections used, predefined technical error categories, and counts of crash, hang, CPU or disk-write reports provided by Apple MetricKit. It also includes your configured region, preferred language, app version, major system version, and whether the device is a phone or tablet. The region comes from device settings: it is not your physical location obtained through GPS or IP geolocation.
Your hours, personal activity dates, notes, photos, plans, goals, name and beliefs are not sent. Full crash reports, call stacks, file paths and error messages that might contain personal data are not uploaded. We do not use user, device, advertising or iCloud account identifiers. We do not combine these counters with other datasets to identify a person.
Counters are sent over HTTPS to our own API at happyminister.com and added to daily groups without individual histories. The API does not retain IP addresses, headers or request bodies. A new random receipt for each batch prevents duplicate counts on retry; only its cryptographic digest is kept for up to eight days, without linking it to aggregate rows or reusing it for a device. Aggregated counters are kept as a statistical history with no fixed automatic expiry, until the administrator decides to delete them. Pending uploads are retried for seven days; expired data is discarded when the app next runs. Turning this option off deletes pending data.
Turning the option off cancels further uploads and clears pending data. Contributions already included in anonymous totals cannot be located or isolated by person. The app contains no advertising, third-party analytics SDKs or advertising tracking. Apple may handle its own diagnostics and distribution statistics under your settings and its policies.
6. Visiting this website
The public part of this website uses no cookies, visitor analytics, advertising pixels, forms or externally hosted fonts. Our hosting serves your requests. The server may log technical errors containing details such as an IP address, requested URL and timestamp to diagnose problems and protect the service. Logs rotate daily and are retained for up to 14 rotations, unless an incident requires evidence to be retained longer.
The private administration panel uses technical cookies to protect its login form and maintain the administrator session. Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity or a maximum of eight hours and are invalidated on logout. The server stores a salted password hash, never a plaintext password. This access adds no identifiers to anonymous app metrics and provides no access to app users’ personal records.
7. Contacting support
We process your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send to respond to your request. The basis is handling your request and our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the service. Our email and hosting providers may process this information to provide their services. We do not sell it or use it to send advertising.
Support messages are retained as needed to handle the request and afterwards only as justified to resolve outstanding issues or meet applicable obligations. Do not send passwords, iCloud codes or records containing sensitive information.
8. Your choices and rights
You can edit or delete information in the app and manage iCloud data in your Apple Account settings. With sync enabled, deletions sync to your other devices. Uninstalling the app does not guarantee deletion of data already in iCloud.
For support information under our control, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability where applicable by emailing hola@juakigarcia.com. You can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency or your local data protection authority. The developer cannot access or delete your private iCloud records on your behalf.
9. Changes
We will update this page when data practices or app features change. The revision date is shown at the beginning of this policy.
